Training Bursary

In raising the funding for its services, Involve has secured a Training Bursary which is designed to ease the cost of accessing training for its members. It has three components as listed below. It should be noted that the bursary is limited and once the budget for the bursary has been spent, the scheme will be frozen until further funding is allocated. To help members to obtain equal access to the bursary, there is a limit of £30 per organisation relating to its use through options 1 and 2 below.

  1. External Course Support Scheme

If Involve cannot provide training in a subject required by any of its members, the bursary can be used to help with the cost of attending the required training at another CVS or similar organisation. Involve will pay the difference between the training organisation's subsidised members' rate and the normal non-members rate.

  2. Internal Courses Support Scheme

Part of Involve's Training Bursary is designed to make Involve's own courses more accessible to its smaller member organisations. The threshold for assistance is organisations with annual turnovers below £10,000. Please contact us for further information.

  3. Internal Course Travelling Support Scheme

The Training Bursary will also assist participants from all of its members with travelling expenses incurred, relating to Involve's own courses, when more than four miles from the training venue. Please contact us for further details if you would like to use this service.

To promote car sharing, Involve will also pay an allowance of £1 for a course participant carried who is also attending the same course. Each additional passenger meeting the same criteria will attract an additional allowance of 50p per passenger.
