We define members as any 'voluntary organisation' based in Mid Devon.

The following services are available to our Members free of charge:

  • a regular newsletter on relevant issues
  • ideas about best practices on a variety of functions
  • support and advice with both funding applications and funding strategies
  • help with project development
  • help with policies and procedures
  • a library of relevant publications/books
  • help recruiting volunteers
  • face to face and telephone support and advice
  • representation of your views to statutory bodies
  • membership of the Mid Devon Inter Agency Forum
  • access to discounted training on related subjects
  • access to our range of 'cost price' office services
  • access to the subsidised loan scheme for equipment

Membership of Involve is free to any 'voluntary organisation' based in the Mid Devon District Council area.

Involve defines a 'voluntary organisation' as:

"Any existing or embryonic voluntary or community organisation (this includes one or more individuals seeking to set up a group) which is run entirely by volunteers or by a voluntary management committee / board of trustees / board of directors. Such organisations may have paid employees.

These organisations may or may not be registered charities (incorporated or unincorporated) but must have charitable objectives. This definition excludes organisations that fulfill a statutory obligation."
